Acupuncture as Unique as You.
Personalized acupuncture care that considers the whole person—your physical health, emotional well-being, and the experiences that shape your everyday life.
Drawing from Classical Five-Element Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and an integrative approach to health, we tailor care to your individual needs, goals, and experiences.
Two Traditions. One Individualized Approach.
Our practitioners draw from established acupuncture traditions to create care that considers your health history, current concerns, and individual goals.
Classical Five-Element Acupuncture
Classical Five-Element Acupuncture emphasizes the relationship between physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This tradition considers each person's unique constitution and patterns, with an emphasis on understanding the individual beyond a single symptom.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Traditional Chinese Medicine uses a pattern-based approach to care, considering symptoms, health history, and clinical observations such as pulse and tongue assessment. These observations help guide acupuncture point selection and individualized treatment planning.
A shared commitment to thoughtful, personalized care.
Care That Begins With Understanding You.
Your health story is more than a list of symptoms. We take time to understand what you're experiencing and explore care options that fit your needs.
A Comprehensive First Visit
We begin with a detailed integrative assessment, exploring your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and goals. This may include pulse assessment, physical observations, and other evaluations relevant to your care.
Care That Evolves With You
Your needs may change over time, and your care can change with them. We continually consider your experiences, treatment responses, and priorities when planning future visits.
More Options for Your Care
Acupuncture can be part of a broader integrative care plan. When appropriate, you may explore additional Alpine offerings, including therapeutic laser and Flowpresso® compression, as separate or combined services.
A Collaborative Approach
We value the role of your existing healthcare team. With your permission, we can communicate with other healthcare professionals to help support continuity and coordination of care.
Thoughtful care. Individualized options. A partnership that grows with you.
Your Care Begins With a Conversation.
Before we begin acupuncture treatments, we take time to get to know you, understand your health history, and explore what matters most to you.
We Listen
We discuss your health history, current concerns, daily life, and what you're hoping to experience through care.
We Assess
Your practitioner may evaluate pulses, blood pressure, movement, and other physical findings relevant to your concerns. Assessments are selected based on your individual needs.
We Explore Options
Together, we discuss an individualized care plan. This may include acupuncture and opportunities to incorporate other Alpine services when appropriate.
We Plan Your Next Steps
We review recommendations, discuss potential treatment frequency, and help you understand what to expect at future appointments.
Your initial integrative assessment generally takes 45–75 minutes. No acupuncture needles are used during this appointment. Acupuncture treatments begin at a subsequent visit.

Your Acupuncture Questions, Answered
New to acupuncture or simply new to Alpine? Here are answers to some common questions about your experience and care options.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are very thin and different from the needles typically used for injections. People describe a variety of sensations, including little or no sensation, brief pinching, tingling, or a dull ache.
Your practitioner will explain the process and encourage you to share any discomfort or concerns.
Will I receive acupuncture needles during my first visit?
No. Your first integrative assessment is a needle-free appointment. We use this time to understand your health history, discuss your concerns, and explore an individualized plan. Acupuncture treatments begin at a subsequent appointment.
What should I wear to an acupuncture appointment?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is helpful. Depending on the treatment, your practitioner may need access to areas such as your arms, legs, or back. Appropriate draping is available when needed.
How often will I need acupuncture?
Treatment frequency depends on your concerns, health history, practitioner recommendations, and individual circumstances. Some clients begin with more frequent appointments, while others schedule less often.
Your practitioner will discuss recommendations with you and revisit them as your care progresses.
Can acupuncture be combined with other Alpine services?
Yes. Depending on your needs and preferences, you may choose to explore other Alpine offerings, including therapeutic laser or Flowpresso® compression. These are separate services with their own rates and scheduling options.
Does insurance cover acupuncture?
Some insurance plans include acupuncture benefits, but coverage varies by plan, practitioner, and service. Eligibility, authorization requirements, deductibles, and other plan rules may apply.
Alpine also offers cash-pay options for clients choosing to self-pay or exploring services outside their coverage.
